Ask Chevy Hardcore and we will tell you that if you want a real show of force use American muscle, and there is no better form on four wheels than an American muscle car such as the Chevy Camaro. Someone must have thought the same thing, because according to FoxNews.com, the Dubai Police Department has added a Chevrolet Camaro to its growing fleet of high-performance police cars. The Camaro SS coupe was supplied to the force by the local Chevy dealer, Al Ghandi Auto.
The white Camaro SS has been decorated, if you can call it that, with the green decals of the Dubai Police and a roof-mounted light bar. This is, no doubt, so that no one will mistake it for anything other than a police service vehicle. The car, like all SS models, is powered by the 426 HP 6.2-liter V-8, and retains its red leather interior.
Considering the Dubai Police took delivery of a new Lamborghini Aventador ($400,000) patrol car just a week earlier, the new Camaro SS seems like a bargain at only $40,000. However, the department can fill its fleet with many more Camaros, if they choose to do so, at that price. Not that money is an issue. We have heard that in addition to these two cruisers, the Dubai law enforcement team is looking to add a Ferrari to its collection.
