We’ve seen a lot of LS powered Nissan 240SXs over the recent years, and we’ve even featured a few of them here on LSXMAG. Some of these LS swapped 240SXs are purpose-built for events like drag racing and drifting, and everything in between. And this Craigslist find ’95 240SX SE with a 6.0 liter LY6 swapped V8 is very similar to those. In the ad, the seller states that the car was originally intended for drag racing, which was the purpose for the swap.
The seller has commented that the new LY6 and its modifications dyno'd a healthy 448 rear-wheel horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque.
Like most LS swapped vehicles, this 240SX comes with a lengthy modifications list, including necessary components to make the swap compatible. Some of the more notable modifications include an Edelbrock 90mm throttle body, a Tick Performance Street Heat Stage 3 POLLUTER camshaft, Hooker Headers with a custom Flowmaster muffler exhaust, and a 320lph AEM fuel pump.
The original transmission has been swapped in favor of a Tremec T-56 6-speed manual, and has been upgraded with a B&M Racing short-throw shifter. A McLeod Racing RXT twin-disc clutch and light-weight steel flywheel have been added to the mix, both fastened with the always trustworthy ARP bolts.
Last but not least, the entire car has been outfitted with a full JDM Kouki conversion kit.
If you’re in the Atlanta, Georgia area, and are interested in this LS swapped 240SX yourself, we recommend taking a look at the ad here. As we mentioned above, the parts list is a lot longer, and details more information regarding the upgrades and the swap there.
For an asking price of $15k could you build one like this for less? Or is this a bargain find, with the work already done for you?
