Check out this Australian Opel Senator/Caddy Catera/GTO/Holden El Camino “Ute,” powered by a 408 CI, Twin Turbo LS2 rippin’ down the strip in the 8’s!  Aussies like their American muscle and it’s always cool to see “their” versions of GM and Ford cars. Owner Tim Perry’s HP-F built, LS2 powered Holden Commodore VY SS Ute is one bad ass El Camino wannabe and struts its stuff with blistering runs in the Land Down Under. Located in Keilor, just outside of Melbourne, the historic Calder Park Raceway hosted this speed extravaganza on July 7^th and some serious Aussie muscle turned up.

Perry was fast that day and we get to see two passes, including a best run of 8.69 seconds at 162 KPH.  Be sure and check out how mean and nasty this Holden looks at 1:55. The slicks wrinkle a bit but the launches are flawless as the truck bolts out of the hole, all with the IRS still in place.

Once again, our friends across the globe show GM/Chevy muscle is the universal language of speed.
