Ever since the launch of the reborn Camaro SS back in 2010, enthusiasts everywhere couldn’t wait for a more pumped up, supercharged version. That car would become the basis of a new ZL1 and it now represents the ultimate in late-model GM pony car performance.
“It’s constructed from the same materials that all of our other kits use, while maximizing performance, and increasing fuel economy.” -Chris Thomson
The popularity of the car continues to rise and many aftermarket companies have stepped up to the plate to offer ZL1 buyers the upgrades that they desire. One of those companies is Airaid and they recently launched a could air intake system for the coveted ZL1.
Designed to increase horsepower and torque, while improving the overall fuel economy and providing an increased throttle response and soundtrack, the Airaid kit for ZL1 really makes a difference in the way your Camaro will perform and sound – on the street, and on the track.
We caught up with Chris Thomson, of Airaid Sales and Marketing at this year’s SEMA show, and he was anxious to tell us all about it. “It’s constructed from the same materials that all of our other kits use, while maximizing performance, and increasing fuel economy. It’s available with the standard plastic neck, or buyers can choose from either a carbon fiber or a flex neck assembly.

With a large are to induct all of the incoming oxygen, the Airaid cold-air system improves the overall driving experience of your new ZL1.
Sounds good to us. If you’re a 2012-13 Camaro ZL1 owner, and don’t have an cold-air intake system on your car you need to give the guys over at Airaid a call!
