Readers of this magazine have seen this car before – probably a few times in fact, if you are a a follower of the lsxmag.com Facebook page. We brought you the remarkable accomplishments of this Trans Am WS6 back in April, and we have more information about it now.
Well, when we say information, what we really mean is this badass video of the T/A throwing down at the 2013 Spring Texas Invitational against some stiff competition. The video was shot by our friends at 1320 Video, and it’s essentially a short kill list of the car and a quick interview with the owner, Bryan Luna (aka, Flash).Â
But don’t think anyone with a simple “heads and cam upgrade” on a F-body can do what this car does, because this T/A is rockin’ a 364 cubic inch LSX block with a 94 mm turbo at 21 PSI when it’s “set to 1150” [horsepower] to the pavement. Shifting the gears requires a heavy-duty, and obviously fortified 4L80E automatic gearbox.
In this video, “Flash’s WS6” shuts down not just some souped-up Toyota, but an 800 horsepower Corvette, a 1200 horse Corvette, an 1100 hp Lambo, and although it does lose to a 1500 HP Lambo, it does one heck of a job hanging with him.
Sure, the F-body lost that last round, but when you’re racing a heavily modified Lamborghini built with a blank check, and still manage to hang with him, it’s not really a loss, is it?
