If you are a regular to LSXMag you’ll instantly recognize this LS powered ’52 Willys jeep that we have featured on the site multiple times. We have followed Justin Miller’s amazing build pretty much from its creation and kept a close eye over the years as it raced a ZR1, broke 160 MPH street racing a Z06, and most recently was finally put on the dyno to see the results of the recent addition of a D1 Procharger and direct port nitrous setup.
The 4.8L LS powered Willys was lashed the dyno and equipped with “only” a 100-shot of nitrous (according to the video it usually pushes 250-300). After a quick run the Jeep was found to have 729 horsepower and 689 pound-feet of torque at the tires. If it’s true that normally it utilizes a 250-300 shot, that means this Willy could normally be pushing close to 1,000 horsepower! This is even more impressive when you consider its just a stock 4.8L with a D1 Procharger, cam, valves, and a direct port nitrous setup.
Here’s a few more specs on the insane ride:
- Stock 4.8L LS with only minor upgrades
- Procharger pushing 16 PSI
- 20 gallon per hour water/methanol injection
- Custom grind Comp cam
- 4L80E automatic transmission
- Monster 3,200 stall converter
- Richmond 3.73 gears
- Eaton Posi
- M/T ET Street radials
- Direct port Nitrous Express system
- Tuned by Craven Performance
- Factory suspension
- Summit Racing steel wheels
Justin had always said that the Jeep made close to 750 horsepower, but now thanks to this video we have definitive proof. Now we have to ask, would you be brave enough to ride in this beast? Keep in mind, with no roll bar, this ’52 Willys isn’t for the faint of heart.
