Lining up a vehicle with 1,000+ horsepower vs. one with just over 150 seems like an unfair comparison, Right? We thought so, too– until we saw this.
Anyone that has not seen, heard of, or driven one of these Suzuki Hayabusa-powered “busa” karts, lets just say: you are missing out. It seems anyone remotely into performance cars, would be into these little things. Obviously, they are tiny and can be made insanely fast, all along with the fun handling that everyone loves about basic go-karts. When checking them out on the internet, we even came across one doing a 181-mph quarter mile pass. Just imagine doing 180+ in a go-kart– sounds like fun if you ask us.
Hayabusa-powered go-kart and golf cart
In this case, a 1300cc Hayabusa engine (which is a larger variety) was thrown into this golf cart and lined up with this 1,050 horsepower F1X ProCharged C6 Z06. There’s no denying that a 1,000+ horsepower Corvette is a great accomplishment but, as always we’re sure, it involves quite a chunk of money. The Busa Cart, on the other hand, not as much. We are unaware as to what exactly has been done, but the golf cart has to have some modifications to help handle the power coming from its new engine. Nonetheless, we were shocked to see the result. Check it out for yourself.
…We might just have to get our hands on one of these things. It would make for some good articles, if nothing else. Just imagine if we LS-swapped a go-kart.
