If you own a new Camaro SS and are looking for more from the already robust stock LT1… you may find yourself thinking about opting for forced induction.
We found this specific 2017 Camaro SS on RDP Motorsport‘s Youtube channel and just had to share some information on it. RDP Motorsports is based out of Gainesville, Ohio and is no stranger to this kind of build, as they are known for their plethora of experience in dyno tuning and forced induction applications.
This Camaro now houses an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger system–and that’s the extent of its mod list. It’s tuned on 93 octane utilizing the warranty-compliant tuner supplied by Edelbrock. After the installation and a quick computer reflash, this SS threw down 555 horsepower to the rear wheels–thats roughly a 150 horsepower increase from stock, and the best part; the car is still legal in all 50 states!
Edelbrock’s E-Force systems feature a Eaton Gen IV TVS 2300 rotor assembly, an air-to-water twin intercooler system, and a dual pass heat exchanger–making it easy to maximize the power delivery of this already potent vehicle.

We grabbed this dyno sheet from RDP’s Facebook page to showcase the horsepower gains using the E-Force supercharger package.
Interestingly enough, a bone stock ’16 Camaro SS typical puts down anywhere from 400 to 430 horsepower at the rear wheels.
Even if this ’17 Camaro SS were to dyno on the high side of that scale, a gain of nearly 125 horsepower at the real wheels from a supercharger package you can install in a weekend is nothing to scoff at. Coupled with a $500 rebate until December 31 of this year, you might just have the ultimate torque-producer on your hands.
