Before you put down your mouse and start looking for an Ocker to English dictionary, just watch the video with the volume turned down and admire the upgrades to this LS3 loaded Holden. In case you are not a world traveler, Holden is Aussie for Chevrolet, and this one has the 6.2 liter LS3 from GM under the hood. No matter what language you speak, Magnuson Heartbeat supercharger is still Magnuson Heartbeat supercharger. The goal of the crew was to make 500rwkW, which is slightly over 670 American horsepower, on regular unleaded pump gas.
The guys at C & A Auto Fashion performance tuning center, or tuning centre dun-undah, took on the task of beefing up one of the local cars, a factory 6-speed manual GenF Clubsport R8. This is one of Holden’s special vehicles and a sedan that out sports other sedans on that half of the equator.
C & A Auto Fashion is owned by two brothers, Con and Andrew, whose favorite thing is to boost up the power in LS powered vehicles. Speaking of boosting power, both Con and Andrew fancy the bolt on power adders that Magnuson offers for the modern LS engines. As seen in the video, the C & A Auto Fashion crew modified the top half of the engine to support the Magnuson Heartbeat 2300 supercharger.
C & A spec’d out a custom COMP Cams camshft with a full valve train upgrade. They also added DiFilippo 3-inch exhaust system with bi-modal valve to help get rid of the exhaust better. More flow means more fuel can be introduced to make more power, so the crew added an MSD fuel pump. These quick changes resulted in an impressive 513kW (688hp) at the rear wheels on pump gas. Enjoy and G’day mates.
