No, you didn’t misread the title. It does, in fact confirm that “they” will put an LS engine into any and everything that they can possibly get their hands on. We’ve seen LS engines in planes, boats, and buggies, but we never thought that the day would come when a video of an LS1 Cavalier came across our desks here at LSXMag. It is after all one of the most boring cars that we could possibly fathom. Trust me, I’ve owned one. In contrast, what we witness in this video is in fact far from lackluster. The owner of this mundane daily driver did what any logical person would do. They stuffed a Chevy small block in it.
Trust us, we were skeptical too, but upon the video pan to the front of the car it was in fact confirmed that the swap is real. Even though it does in fact appear to be a second generation Chevy Cavalier; the chances of finding something original in this car are in all odds slim to none. Even though we aren’t given a complete tour, the ratchet shifter and racing wheel back up this notion along with the ridiculous body drop and deep dish wheels. When who we assume to be the owner starts it up further confirms that insanity has in fact become reality.
When posed with the question “Why?” the only suitable answer we could come up with is that it would be easier to change the spark plugs in this than in a fourth generation F-body. Perhaps the more appropriate question to ask would be “Why not?”
