The Arizona-based Local Motors Rally Fighter has been in production for a few years now, and the result of the custom-built vehicle has been nothing less than game-changing.
When a customer purchases a Rally Fighter from Local Motors, they get a pretty awesome experience – from designing the car, to building it – the customer is always involved. And yes, you read that right. The Rally Fighter is built by YOU in one of their conveniently located Microfactories across the United States. If one’s schedule can’t accommodate the build, it can be built for the customer and delivered.
Just recently, Local Motors brought out the custom Rally Fighter to Lime Rock Park in Connecticut for its two new owners to test out, not initially on dirt, but on the infield autocross course. A supercharged GM E-Rod LS3 is straddled by the tube chassis and sits right behind the two seats, which should give some amazing in-cabin noise.
Towards the end of the video, there are some great shots that show the articulation of the King coilovers and the multi-link suspension hard at work. The two new owners looked to be very pleased about getting to test their new Rally Fighter at Lime Rock Park, but now it’s time for them to get familiar with it in New York – sounds like a good time to us! Enjoy it Fellas!
