August is kind of a slow month for motorsports, especially for those who are into the intense smoke and squealing tires of Formula Drift. Round 6 is still more than three weeks out, and the last event was more than a month ago, leaving us without any of the high-octane tire-smoking action we’ve become accustomed to.

Thankfully for Camaro fans, Tyler Mcquarrie Racing released this video shot at Round 5 of Formula Drift at the Evergreen Raceway in Monroe, Washington. Set to some fast-paced dubstep that doesn’t drown out the sexy sound of these unbridled Camaros shredding some rubber, it’s a quick fix to feed our addiction to drifting.

You may not have heard of Mcquarrie, but this team of of Camaro drifters headed by drivers Tyler Mcquarrie and JR Hildebrand has put up an impressive fight against the factory-backed teams of Ford and Nissan. While Hildebrand didn’t quite qualify for the Round of 32 at the Throwdown in the forest, Mcquarrie managed to make it to the Round of 16, where he faced off against Fredric Aasbo.

Alas, Mcquarrie fell of the Norwegian and his Scion TC drift car, and Aasbo would go on to claim third place in the competition overall. But Mcquarrie and Hildebrand still delivered some delicious Camaro drifting action that should sate your needs for now, and whet your appetite for more drifting action come next month. As for the Mcquarrie Racing team? We doubt this is the last we’ve heard from them.
