Inject one VT Commodore with a 454 LSX and a little bit of spray, and you'll have one serious ride on your hands!
In the Land of Oz, things are not as different as some may think. Sure, they drive on the wrong side of the road, they consider wrestling with crocodiles a family activity, and they prefer family “saloons” over a two-door coupé.
Despite all of that, they still know a good powerplant when they see one, and like us, they have the GM vs. Ford thing going on too. Australians represent The General not with the typical Camaros and Corvettes, but with Holden Commodores, Monaros, and the occasional Maloo.
In this case, it’s a VT Commodore (produced from 1997-2000), that’s rocking not a crummy 6-cylinder engine or maybe an LS1 like you might imagine, but a legit Chevrolet Performance 454 LSX!
This machine is owned by Luke Hasty Auto, and apart from a little spray, is all motor. It may have ran quicker by now, but in this particular video, the car ran a best time of 10.06 at 138 MPH in the 1320. Given the size and weight of these cars, that’s quite impressive.
We found this video on YouTube, and like most of the videos that we see from Australia, it’s been hosted by our friends over at FullBoost.com.au.

Only in Australia will your eyes be bestowed with such a sight. The closest you'll get in the states of this will come in the form of either a Pontiac GTO or G8.
