If you’re looking for a hotrod, ratrod, or just a simple classic truck project, check out this video from YouTube user Nick Cook.
The truck is a 1952 Ford F-100 short box. While the truck isn’t in the roughest of shape, it still needs some work of course. In the video, Nick explains the truck has some rust and damage on the drivers side door from when the vehicle was parked, and had been unfortunately side-swiped by another driver, which also caused some damage to the rear drivers side fiberglass fender as well.
Although the truck isn’t perfect, for the price of $12,500 or best offer, we have to admit that this particular truck isn’t a bad starting point at all. While there is some body filler in the steel front fenders and fiberglass rears, the truck does include having a 5.3 liter Vortech V8 swapped into with only 120,000 miles.
Nick has kept the 5.3 stock – only adding Hooker Headers and a custom made exhaust, which exits through a pair of Magnaflow mufflers. The engine is also mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission.
On the exterior, the truck also features shaved door handles along with that chopped roof, though the truck is missing a few things. You’ll need a window for the drivers side door, and you’ll also need a digital tachometer for your speed and rpm. And if you want heating and air conditioning in the truck, you’ll have to source that as well.
The good news is, all of the exterior lights work just fine – so no replacing there. What do you guys think? Project car worthy, or pass?
